As you may or may not know, the NY state testing program just expired as of April 1, 2018 and extended to April 1 2019. Audi was the first to test, then GM, but nothing came of it. So never mind having autonomous vehicles operating on our streets anytime soon! The idea of the Future of Driverless City: Summer Talk Series is about ...will NYC ever be able to consolidate the group of experts and resources to hopefully plan for a true (and safe) testing?
Who knows? Maybe we'll find the self-driving dream team to safely test coming April 1, 2019? This summer talk series is about planning, designing, testing, and implementing the experiences of the future of autonomous car within our city. It’s about questions, self-driving cars and of course about people. Galvanize is our venue for a glimpse of the future of cars. This is going to be a fun ride!
